Measure and steer with the G6.

Measuring is knowing and how wonderful is it that we live in a time with the ability to be automatically informed of our blood glucose several times an hour.

Dexcom has had reliable and solid sensors for measuring blood glucose for years. And even though the version discussed here the G6 has been available for several years, it seemed informative to share the experiences of the past 16 months with the G6.

Let’s start with some facts in the form of specifications;

• sensor lasts 10 days
• receiver lasts +90 days
• calibration is not necessary
• a measurement is taken every 5 minutes
• there are multiple possibilities for monitoring, alarming and viewing the data
